Senior Associate Strategic ESG & Shareholder Advisory

ICR Strategic ESG and Shareholder Advisory, a specialist consultancy group that provides end-to-end environmental, social, and governance (ESG) solutions and strategic shareholder services, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Associate to join our team.


The primary responsibilities include:

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on ESG-related issues, risks, opportunities, best practices, and key performance indicators across various industries
  • Manage the collection, validation, calculation, and aggregation of data
  • Review and analyze corporate activities to offer recommendations for ESG improvements and support clients in developing and achieving their ESG objectives
  • Assist with the execution, review, and development of ESG programs and related reporting, including materiality assessments, peer benchmarking, stakeholder engagement, gap analysis, and metric/KPI identification
  • Assist with project activities related to ESG reports, including producing report outlines and developing content based on data collection, research, and client interviews
  • Help coordinate client meetings and provide project support, including proposal drafting, project timeline maintenance, and invoicing
  • Contribute to business development efforts, such as developing pitch decks, marketing materials, and other outreach initiatives
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and other team activities
  • Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant ESG experience, client facing roles within ESG consulting preferred
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, capable of gathering, interpreting, and synthesizing complex information and large datasets to derive strategic insights and recommendations for clients
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, capable of prioritizing and executing tasks efficiently to meet project deadlines
  • Applicable knowledge of ESG frameworks and standards, such as SASB, TCFD, SDGs, CDP, and GRI among others
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
