Manager, Data and Process Improvement Corporate ESG & Sustainability

The Manager, Data and Process Improvement Corporate ESG & Sustainability position is a unique opportunity to advance the Company’s ambitious decarbonization goals and ESG initiatives through process improvement and data analytics. The position will report to the Vice President, Corporate ESG & Sustainability, and will engage with our portfolio operating partners, sustainability service providers and cross-functionally throughout the Company.

Responsibilities

ESG Data Visualization and Analytics

• Leverage data science, including advanced data modeling and analytics, to drive efficient reporting, insights and recommendations toward achieving the Company’s ambitious decarbonization and ESG goals
• Develop controls and workflows for data collection, ingestion and quality review to ensure data timeliness and accuracy

ESG Department Process Improvement

• Identify, document and implement business process enhancements, policies and procedures for all aspects of ESG and sustainability including:
• Data collection, monitoring and quality controls (e.g., utility data, refrigerant data, Ventas portfolio characteristics, etc.)
• Goals tracking
• Sustainability capex projects (e.g. LED lighting, building energy management systems, smart water meters, etc.), including identification, implementation and post-implementation progress tracking
• Climate risk assessment
• ESG diligence for acquisitions, and post-acquisition integration

Support ESG Strategy and Marketing Initiatives

• Work with ESG team to develop and implement ESG strategy and goals
• Prepare materials for the Ventas internal ESG Steering Committee and Nominating, Governance and Corporate Responsibility Committee of the Board of Directors
• Participate in and serve as a Company ambassador at ESG conferences, webinars, industry meetings and training sessions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 6+ years of experience in management or technology consulting, data analytics, business transformation, ESG management or similar
• Experience with process optimization and documentation
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar
• Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python or R a plus.
• Excellent quantitative, written, and oral communication skills
• Bias for action: strong initiative and results-oriented
• Intellectually curious: a quick learner who combines previous professional and personal experiences to offer new ideas and solutions
