ESG Reporting Associate - Corporate Affairs

The ESG Reporting Associate will be an integral member of Blackstone’s global corporate ESG Team, which sits at the intersection of investments, corporate affairs, and operations and will support advancing global ESG reporting at Blackstone. The position will support the responsiveness, execution, and continuous improvement of corporate ESG reporting and ratings globally. In conducting their responsibilities, the Associate ESG Reporting will collaborate with many individuals across Blackstone.


Responsibilities

The ESG Reporting Associate will be responsible for supporting, managing, and executing:

  • Firm-wide UNPRI annual reporting process, coordinating across the business.
  • Responsiveness to third party ESG ratings, including CDP, MSCI, Sustainalytics. Annually monitoring performance and recommending areas of improvements.
  • Regular cadence of climate and ESG reports for internal and external use, including production of an annual ESG report, TCFD report, and other reporting products as needed.
  • Appropriate disclosure controls and procedures related to ESG, and the inclusion of key climate-related and ESG disclosures in regulatory filings.
  • Conduct research on industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory requirements related to ESG reporting. Stay up to date with evolving ESG disclosure guidelines and reporting frameworks.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of related experience that includes familiarity with ESG programs in a corporate environment, including working with reporting and ratings frameworks (TCFD, SASB, GRI, SFDR etc)
  • 3+ years of project management experience is preferred. Having a background in engineering, finance, or other systematic based fields.
  • Demonstrable awareness of ESG frameworks, standards and trends is preferred
  • Experience in working with internal stakeholders to gain firmwide consensus on ESG targets and metrics in a large, multi-faceted firm is required
  • Familiarity with internal controls, assurance, quality control is preferred
  • Demonstrable passion for teamwork and collaboration are a must
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience, is required
