Job Summary

The ESG Analyst is responsible for analyzing and reporting on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors that impact investment decisions, corporate strategy, and sustainability initiatives. This role involves conducting research, evaluating ESG performance, and providing insights to support the integration of ESG principles into business practices and investment strategies.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive research on ESG issues, trends, and regulations affecting industries, companies, and investments.
  • Analyze ESG data and performance metrics to assess the sustainability and ethical practices of companies and investment opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain ESG-related financial models and databases to support investment and strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare detailed ESG reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, clients, and regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in the development and dissemination of sustainability reports, impact assessments, and other ESG-related documentation.
  • Ensure accurate and transparent reporting of ESG performance and compliance with relevant standards and frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD).
  • Support the integration of ESG factors into investment processes, corporate strategy, and risk management practices.
  • Collaborate with investment teams to incorporate ESG considerations into investment analysis, portfolio management, and decision-making.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of ESG strategies and policies to enhance corporate sustainability and social responsibility.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, clients, regulators, and NGOs, to communicate ESG performance and initiatives.
  • Address stakeholder inquiries and provide insights on ESG-related matters and trends.
  • Participate in industry events, forums, and working groups to stay informed about ESG developments and best practices.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with ESG regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Stay updated on emerging ESG issues, regulatory changes, and market trends to provide timely and relevant advice.
  • Conduct ESG due diligence and assessments to support investment decisions and risk management.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Finance, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, ESG certification) are a plus.
  • Proven experience in ESG analysis, sustainability reporting, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of ESG principles, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in ESG data analysis, financial modeling, and research methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in ESG software, data management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
